Quintiles – Reward Hub

The challenge

Quintiles had nine websites that provided different benefits functions for their employees. They wanted to bring all sites together to:

  • Provide a seamless employee journey – ‘everything in one place’
  • Develop a consistent Reward Brand – align messages; tone of voice; look and feel
  • Reinforce its people strategy – to become less corporate; put the focus on people; relationships and experiences
  • Dovetail its Reward strategy – increase take-up rate of benefits; develop a sense of individual control over benefits

Our team developed and designed a Reward hub – a bespoke portal that sits over owned and external sites, featuring:

Operating CMS

To ensure the portal was fully flexible; changes to content can be made quickly and easily

Accessed via single sign-on

Removing the need to individually log-on to separate platforms

Communication platform

For all Reward information including Compensation, Benefits, Reward and Recognition and Employee Health Management

Allow employees to select their flexible benefits within the Hub
The portal features a “countdown timer” during the enrolment window; the facility to request another window when personal circumstances change; access to a personalised TRS

  • As a result, monthly web visits increased by 119%
  • Monthly page views increased by 98%
  • NI pension saving as a result of the project equated to a 54% increase in YOY savings
  • 59% returning visitors – indicating an engaged workforce
  • Due to the success of the project, it was selected as a finalist for ‘best use of technology’ at the Employee Benefits Awards 2016
